Lots of exciting things have happened over the past few months that we haven’t been able to post.  Here’s the skinny: Phattie opened up a new workshop in Asheville, NC.  Asheville is a wonderful town full of music, artists, great people, and more music.  Along with this new workshop we’ve started a new blog for all of the Phattie, Black Label, and Stauffer Drums news.  You can check our new blog and get all the latest and greatest info by going here: www.StaufferPercussion.com  The Stauffer Percussion blog is now your scource for all artists updates, new product annoucements, and other company info.  Go check it out!

After waiting what felt like forever for a backordered suspension mount, this kit finally heads to it’s new home.  Beautiful satin burst, hand rubbed to perfection.  Toms are 8/10/12/14, bass is a 20″x20″ cannon.  Many more exciting projects shipping out over the next week or so, check back for a variety of funky Acrylic kits that will be headed to new homes.

It’s warming up a little outside, and that has us itching to rotate things around in our little show room. 12″x8″ tom, 16″x16″ floor, 22″x20″ bass, all in pre-aged White Marine Pearl. Radio King style lugs, all maple shells, snare not included. This kit is available now, drop us a line for info on it. The snare is also available at MyCustomDrum.com, it’s a 14″x8″ finished in high-gloss waterfall bubinga.

Reference the shells posted last month…here they are, all wrapped up and on their way to a new home!

Specs: 10″ rack tom, 14″ floor tom, 12″ snare, 10″ hybrid side snare, 18″ bass with matching woofer.  All brass hardware, alloy Gauger RIMS mounts, Phattie Chic bass resonant head, etc.

Gallery owner David Piper paid a visit to the Phattie factory this week and went home with some beautiful drums for his showroom! My View Beyond is a gallery of fine art and unique percussion that deals in TreeWorks Chimes, Sageman Drums, Joia Tubes, and Phattie Drums among others. You can check out a sweet 7-piece hand lacquered Classic Series kit and a Sounds Like Art Dragon Snare (Series 2.1) at his shop located at 900 Third Ave., Conway, South Carolina. Swing by and give the kit a whirl, rock out on the Sounds Like Art snare, pick up a catalog, and you might bump into Art Weiss for an impromptu lesson on laying down the funk.

Dragon Snares…

Just a heads up for those of you who are wanting to see/feel/hear/touch/drool on one of the Sounds Like Art Dragon Snares. Dragons are currently in stock at the following locations:

• Atlanta Pro Percussion (Maple with Scorched Copper Hardware)
• Chad Sexton’s Drum City (Maple with Scorched Copper Hardware)
• Forks Drum Closet Nashville (Several, including Bubinga, PurpleHeart, Maple, etc.)
• Forks Drum Closet Knoxville (Maple, Bubinga, various finishes)
• Stebal Drums (Maple with Scorched Red/Black finish & Carbon hardware)

Beltley’s Drum Shop in Fresno and Just Drums in Richmond are currently awaiting new shipments of Dragons, and several new dealers we can’t announce yet will have Sounds Like Art snares arriving in the next several months.
